i know there is a command that will clear the content of a file without deleting it, but i can not remember what it is<br>

i know i have done this on a log file while on the phone with a Oracle tech support person<br>

i have very large error_log on this test apache box, and i am trying to debug whats right with my script<br>

i know tail works to see the last few lines<br>

but it would be nice to know the command that just wipes that log clean, without deleting it and recreating it<br>
